Yusuf Ölmez
Graduated from Boğaziçi University where he majored in Management and minored in Film Studies. After completing his first short film ‘Venus in the Fog’ he started studying in Narrative Filmmaking program at Prague Film School and graduated in 2020 after making his graduation film ‘A Glass of Desire’. He continued working on topics like media economics, political economy, and cinema of Turkey during his Master studies at Boğaziçi University and graduated in 2021. He graduated from Visual and Media Anthropology Master’s at MU Berlin in 2023 after making his medium-metrage ethnographic film ‘Distant Close’ in Togo. He continues working in Berlin as a director, producer, and visual anthropologist.
Mert Gençbay
After graduating from Koç University, Department of Business Administration and Economics in 2018, he started his career as ITP (International Talent Program) at ING Bank Turkey Corporate Banking department. He worked at ING Bank London office between 2019-2020. During this period, he was selected as one of the sustainability ambassadors of ING Bank Turkey office in 2021 with his participation in studies in the field of sustainability. He is co-founder of the 19:30 Film company as well as the sailing event initiative called Sunset and Sail.
Okan Açmak
He was born in Istanbul in 1993. He graduated from Yeditepe University – Radio, TV and Cinema department. He worked as an editor and assistant director in various short and feature films. He shot the documentary “Last Away” as his graduation project. He shot a behind-the-scenes documentary of Zeki Demirkubuz’s last movie called “Life”. His latest short film “Deceptive Depths” continues its festival journey.
